Mon Jan 27 01:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Young Man Found Dead on Train Tracks After Alleging Harassment by Politician’s Brother
**Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh:** A 24-year-old man, T. Maheshwara Reddy, was found dead on railway tracks near Somuladoddi village, Anantapur district, sparking a police investigation. Reddy’s family alleges that he was harassed by Rajasekhar Reddy, brother of former Raptadu MLA Topudurti Prakash Reddy, following a perceived political affiliation.
According to police reports, Reddy was last seen with a friend on Saturday night. He later sent a message indicating he had finished work and would meet his friend. However, he was found dead Sunday morning. The Railway Police have registered a case of suspicious death.
Maheshwara Reddy’s father, Mallareddy, claimed his son had been targeted by Rajasekhar Reddy since 2019, allegedly due to his past association with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He alleged that false cases were filed against his son under the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) rule, and that their land was also illegally removed from online records. The father further stated that the harassment intensified after his son posted photos with Paritala Sriram on Facebook on January 1st.
The family’s accusations against the politician’s brother have added a political dimension to the investigation, raising questions about potential foul play. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Reddy’s death and are considering all angles, including the family’s claims of harassment.
