**New Delhi, January 27, 2025** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday, accusing it of employing deceptive tactics during the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi alleged that AAP is making fraudulent phone calls to citizens, falsely claiming that existing welfare schemes will be scrapped if the BJP wins. Trivedi cited Prime Minister Modi’s assurance that all such schemes will continue.
The BJP’s allegations were further amplified by New Delhi candidate Parvesh Sahib Singh, who accused AAP of vote-buying, presenting a video purportedly showing an AAP worker distributing Rs. 500 notes. Singh also criticized Arvind Kejriwal’s governance, claiming he has achieved nothing for Delhi in 11 years and is resorting to fear-mongering due to dwindling electoral prospects.
AAP vehemently denied the accusations, calling them baseless and highlighting its achievements in providing free electricity, quality education, and Mohalla Clinics. The party countered that the BJP lacks a coherent agenda, vision, and even a chief ministerial candidate. They also accused the BJP of failing to investigate alleged crimes committed by its own leaders despite controlling investigative agencies. The political sparring continues as the Delhi Assembly elections approach.
