Sun Jan 26 06:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Phoenix to Enjoy Warmer Weather, Rain Possible Early Next Week
**PHOENIX, AZ –** After a week of freezing temperatures and below-average conditions, Phoenix residents can look forward to a warming trend, according to the National Weather Service. Highs will reach the mid-to-upper 60s this weekend, nearing seasonal averages for late January. Low temperatures will range from the low 40s to upper 30s. Winds, which gusted up to 20 mph earlier this week, are expected to subside.
However, the reprieve from the cold snap may be short-lived. A low-pressure system moving into the area early next week could bring a 40% chance of light rain showers to the Phoenix metropolitan area, primarily on Monday and Tuesday. This rainfall could potentially end a 154-day dry spell, currently the second-longest on record for Phoenix. The longest dry streak was 160 days in 1972.
