**New Delhi, January 26, 2025** – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal has pledged a complete overhaul of Delhi’s sewer infrastructure within five years, if re-elected. Addressing rallies across the capital on Saturday, Kejriwal highlighted the progress made in connecting unauthorized colonies to the sewer system since 2015, but emphasized the need to replace aging and damaged pipelines.
Kejriwal contrasted the current state of Delhi’s utilities with the conditions before AAP’s rise to power in 2015, citing significant improvements in electricity supply and sanitation in unauthorized colonies. He accused the BJP of sabotaging the sewer system and warned that a BJP victory would reverse AAP’s achievements, including free education, mohalla clinics, and welfare programs.
The AAP leader directly addressed concerns about sewer lines in unauthorized colonies, stating that his administration has laid pipelines extensively in almost all such areas, and work continues to connect every household. He accused the opposition of deliberately damaging the sewer lines to create problems.
Kejriwal also stressed the importance of providing Delhi’s children with quality education and employment opportunities, warning that a vote for the BJP would jeopardize their future. His campaign focuses on continued improvement of public services and infrastructure, contrasting sharply with the BJP’s promises of housing in unauthorized colonies. The Delhi Assembly elections are approaching, setting the stage for a key battle between the AAP and the BJP.
