Sun Jan 26 12:00:00 UTC 2025: ## LSU Tigers Face Tough Test Against No. 3 Alabama

**Tuscaloosa, AL** – The LSU Tigers basketball team will face a daunting challenge Saturday night when they travel to Coleman Coliseum to take on the No. 3/4 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. CT, airing on the SEC Network and the LSU Sports Radio Network.

The Tigers (12-6, 1-4 SEC) enter the game off a 68-57 loss to Texas A&M, a game where they struggled in the second half. Alabama (16-3, 5-1 SEC), on the other hand, is riding high after consecutive 100-point performances against Vanderbilt and Kentucky.

LSU’s offense will be led by Cam Carter, who averages 17.6 points per game and 19.4 in SEC play, while Jordan Sears, nearing 2,000 career points, will provide additional scoring off the bench. They will be up against a potent Alabama offense spearheaded by Mark Sears (19.0 points, 4.9 assists) and supported by three other double-digit scorers.

Despite the tough road ahead, LSU’s schedule will become more favorable after this weekend. The Tigers will play three of their next four games at home, starting with a Wednesday matchup against Auburn. The February 1st game against Texas will also feature a 25th-anniversary celebration of the 2000 SEC Champion and NCAA Sweet 16 team, with numerous alumni in attendance.
