**Hyderabad, January 26, 2025** – Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced the launch of four key welfare schemes on Sunday, promising timely payments to beneficiaries. The schemes include Rythu Bharosa, providing ₹10,000 crore to farmers, and Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa, offering a ₹6,000 sustenance allowance to 10 lakh landless farm laborers. Both payments are slated to reach accounts by March 31.
The launch event, held in Kodangal constituency, also included the distribution of ration cards and the commencement of the Indiramma Indlu weaker section housing program, aiming to construct 4.5 lakh houses at a cost of ₹22,500 crore.
CM Reddy highlighted the government’s commitment to welfare initiatives, citing previous achievements such as filling 55,145 vacant government posts, providing free electricity up to 200 units, subsidized LPG cylinders, and a crop loan waiver for 22.50 lakh farmers. He emphasized the government’s continued efforts to alleviate poverty, referencing similar programs implemented by previous Congress governments.
Reddy criticized the previous BRS government, alleging a lack of concern for the welfare of the poor and accusing them of obstructing housing schemes for the needy. He stated that the current government is issuing ration cards to 40 lakh families to ensure access to subsidized rice. The Chief Minister further emphasized the government’s proactive approach, involving cabinet members and officials in direct village engagement to understand grassroots needs.
