Sat Jan 25 16:13:55 UTC 2025: ## Fine Arts Graduate Arrested for Graffiti at Delhi Metro Station
**NEW DELHI –** Delhi Police have arrested a fine arts graduate for allegedly defacing property at Mandi House Metro Station. Rajiv Kumar Singh, a school teacher and Jamia Millia Islamia alumnus, was apprehended in Uttar Pradesh after CCTV footage captured him writing the graffiti “PM EARTHWORMS ARE BETTER THAN YOU POPA” on a station wall on January 23rd.
Singh, who admitted to the act during interrogation, reportedly explained his actions were inspired by a poem about earthworms he’d read earlier that day. Police noted that he uses “POPA” as his graffiti signature and has a history of similar acts. He has been charged under the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Act, and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
