**Mumbai, January 26** – Akshay Kumar’s latest action thriller, “Sky Force,” has taken the Bollywood box office by storm, raking in a massive ₹36.80 crore (approximately $4.5 million USD) in its first two days. The film, which also marks the Bollywood debut of Veer Pahariya, opened to a phenomenal ₹15.30 crore on its first day, becoming the third-highest opening of Akshay Kumar’s career. Saturday saw an even stronger performance, with the film collecting ₹21.50 crore.
This impressive debut has propelled “Sky Force” to the top of the 2025 Bollywood box office charts, surpassing recent releases such as Kangana Ranaut’s “Emergency” (₹15.55 crore) and Rasha Thadani’s “Azaad” (₹6.77 crore). Even Sonu Sood’s “Fateh,” released earlier in January, only managed ₹12.86 crore.
Directed by Sandeep Khelwani and produced by Maddock Films, “Sky Force” boasts a reported budget of ₹160 crore (approximately $19.5 million USD). The film features high-octane aerial stunts performed by Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, alongside notable performances from Sara Ali Khan and Diana Penty. Early box office numbers suggest “Sky Force” is well on its way to a successful run.
