**New Delhi, January 26** – India today celebrated its 76th Republic Day with a spectacular parade in New Delhi, marking the anniversary of the adoption of its Constitution in 1950. This year’s parade, themed “Golden India: Heritage and Development,” featured 31 tableaux from various states, union territories, and central ministries, showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity and its progress.

The event held special significance as it commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Constitution’s implementation. Two tableaux were specifically dedicated to this milestone. The Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, was the chief guest at the ceremony.

The Republic Day parade, a hallmark of the national celebration, displayed India’s military might alongside its vibrant cultural heritage. The celebrations included the unfurling of the national flag by the President, a 21-gun salute, and the bestowing of prestigious awards like the Ashok Chakra and Kirti Chakra.
