**New Delhi, January 26, 2025** – India is set to celebrate its Republic Day with a grand parade down Kartavya Path, showcasing the nation’s rich heritage and development under the theme “Golden India: Heritage and Development.” Indonesian President Joko Widodo is attending as the chief guest.
This year’s parade features 16 tableaux from various states and union territories, and another 15 from central ministries and organizations. A highlight will be the defense ministry’s display of advanced weaponry, including for the first time, the BrahMos, Pinaka, and Akash missiles, along with the ‘Sanjay’ surveillance system and DRDO’s ‘Praalay’. A unique tri-color tableau symbolizing the unity of the three armed forces will also debut.
Adding to the international flair, a 352-member Indonesian band will perform, promising a captivating spectacle. The event is expected to draw large crowds and significant media attention.
