Sun Jan 26 15:40:25 UTC 2025: ## West Indies on the Verge of Series Levelling Win After Dominant Day 2 in Multan Test

**Multan, Pakistan:** The West Indies are poised to level their two-match Test series against Pakistan after a commanding second day in the second Test at Multan Stadium. The tourists, capitalizing on a spin-friendly pitch, bowled Pakistan out for 76-4, leaving them needing a challenging 178 runs to win.

West Indies, resuming their second innings on 135-6, posted a total of 244, setting Pakistan a 254-run target. Kraigg Brathwaite’s half-century anchored the innings, providing a platform for a crucial lead.

Spinner Kevin Sinclair led the West Indies attack, claiming two key wickets in Pakistan’s shaky response. At stumps, Saud Shakeel (13*) and nightwatchman Kashif Ali (1*) remained unbeaten, but Pakistan’s task looks exceedingly difficult. A dropped catch offered a momentary reprieve to Shakeel, but the West Indies will be confident of securing the remaining six wickets on Day 3.

The first Test saw Pakistan triumph by 127 runs, also in Multan. This second Test promises a thrilling conclusion as Pakistan fights to avoid a series draw.
