Sat Jan 25 23:27:58 IST 2025: ## Speeding SUV Kills One, Injures Two in Hyderabad
**Hyderabad, January 26, 2025** – A speeding SUV ran over three people sleeping on a pavement near Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital in Hyderabad early Saturday morning, resulting in one death and two injuries. The driver, 23-year-old cameraman Made Sanketh Srinivas from Nizamabad, and the vehicle’s owner, Sadula Harsha Vardhan, were arrested.
Police say the SUV, bearing license plate ‘TS 16 FD 9111’, was traveling at a high speed when it crashed into the pavement, striking the pedestrians before overturning. Vardhan, who was allegedly intoxicated, reportedly asked Srinivas to drive. They were heading to Jubilee Hills to pick up a friend. Both men fled the scene after the accident but were apprehended by police following a call from a bystander.
The injured were taken to a hospital. The vehicle has three outstanding traffic violations totaling ₹2,205, two of which were for speeding, in Hyderabad, Nizamabad, and Siddipet. An investigation is underway.
