**CUDDALORE, January 26, 2025** – The Cuddalore district is preparing for the annual Thai Poosam festival at the Sathya Gnana Sabha in Vadalur, scheduled for February 10-13. Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, M.R.K. Panneerselvam, reviewed preparations on Saturday, ensuring adequate infrastructure is in place for the large influx of devotees.

Extensive arrangements are underway, including the provision of drinking water, 87 toilets, high mast lamps, and dustbins. Security measures have also been enhanced with the installation of CCTVs at 58 locations and police watchtowers at key points. Medical teams, including doctors and ambulances, will be deployed 24/7 throughout the festival. The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) will operate special buses from across the state to facilitate easy access to Vadalur.

The Jyothi Darshan, a significant event for followers, will see the ceremonial unveiling of a holy lamp. Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar and various department officials were present at the review meeting.
