Sat Jan 25 22:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Iowa State Cyclones Rout UCF Knights, 108-83, Behind Jefferson’s Career-High

**AMES, Iowa** – No. 3 Iowa State dominated UCF, securing a resounding 108-83 victory Tuesday night. Joshua Jefferson led the Cyclones’ offensive onslaught with a career-high 30 points, marking the first 30-point game for any Iowa State player this season. The win propelled Iowa State to their highest point total of the year, surpassing their previous season-high of 100 points.

Keshon Gilbert contributed 21 points and 8 assists, while Curtis Jones added 19 points to the Cyclones’ (16-2, 6-1 Big 12) dominant performance. The victory marked a strong rebound for Iowa State after their loss to West Virginia on Saturday.

UCF (12-6, 3-4) was led by Jordan Ivy-Curry’s 24 points and Keyshawn Hall’s 13, but they were unable to keep pace with the Cyclones’ high-powered offense. Iowa State’s aggressive defense resulted in 16 steals, with Jefferson and Nate Heise each securing four. The Cyclones also controlled the boards, outrebounding UCF 27-13 in the first half alone. An 11-0 run late in the first half proved pivotal in securing Iowa State’s commanding lead.

Despite the lopsided score, Iowa State center Dishon Jackson had a relatively quiet night, scoring just five points from the free-throw line. Both teams look ahead to their upcoming games; UCF hosts TCU, while Iowa State travels to Arizona State, this Saturday.
