Sun Jan 26 05:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Indonesian Ministers Serenade India with Bollywood Hit at Presidential Banquet

**New Delhi, India** – A surprising and delightful moment unfolded at a state banquet hosted by Indian President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday. A delegation of Indonesian ministers, including senior officials, surprised guests by performing a rendition of the popular Bollywood song “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” from the 1998 film of the same name. The unexpected performance, which has quickly gone viral on social media, saw the ministers, dressed in suits and traditional Songkok headgear, singing the iconic track originally performed by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik.

The banquet was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in honour of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who is on his first state visit to India and served as the Chief Guest for India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations. This marks the fourth time an Indonesian leader has held this honour, signifying the strengthening bilateral relationship between the two nations.

President Subianto held significant talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, focusing on strengthening political, defence, and security cooperation. The Republic Day celebrations themselves promise to be a spectacular event, featuring a traditional buggy procession for the presidents, a 21-gun salute, and performances by 300 Indian artists and a 190-member Indonesian military band. The Indonesian military band’s participation further underscores the strong ties between the two countries.
