**Chennai, India:** India defeated England by two wickets in a thrilling second T20I match at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on Saturday. This victory gives India an unassailable 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
England, batting first, posted a challenging 165/9 in their 20 overs. Jos Buttler top-scored for England with 45 runs, while Brydon Carse contributed a quickfire 31. India’s bowlers, particularly Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy, who took two wickets each, kept a tight leash on the English batting line-up.
Chasing 166, India’s innings got off to a shaky start, losing early wickets. However, Tilak Varma’s magnificent unbeaten 72 off 55 balls, studded with four fours and five sixes, steered India to victory with four balls to spare.
