**Mysuru, January 26, 2025** – Mysuru observed the 76th Republic Day with a vibrant celebration featuring a captivating parade and diverse cultural performances. The main event, organized by the district administration, saw a spectacular marchpast by armed police personnel, reviewed by District in-charge Minister H.C. Mahadevappa.
The parade included contingents from the police, KSRP, home guards, excise, scouts, and guides. The City Armed Reserve (CAR) police secured first prize in the armed forces category, followed by Vijayanagar police and home guards. In the unarmed category, NCC (Arm) cadets took the top spot, with excise and Fire Services claiming second and third place respectively. Bharat Seva Dal (girls) won first prize in the school division, followed by Police Public School (boys) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (girls). A special prize was awarded to Parade Commander D. Sharanappa, and the police band and visually challenged students also received recognition for their participation.
Adding to the festivities, students from various schools presented captivating cultural programs. Baden Powel Public School showcased a group dance emphasizing “unity in diversity,” while Maharshi Public School and Pramathi Public School presented patriotic songs. The event concluded with a resounding display of national pride and community spirit.
