MYSURU, January 26, 2025 – Mysuru celebrated the 76th Republic Day with a vibrant display of patriotism, featuring an impressive parade and captivating cultural performances. The main event, organized by the district administration, saw a review of the parade by District in-charge Minister H.C. Mahadevappa.

The parade included contingents from various armed forces including the police, KSRP, home guards, and excise departments, as well as scouts and guides. The City Armed Reserve (CAR) police secured first place in the armed forces marchpast competition, followed by Vijayanagar police and home guards. In the unarmed category, NCC (Arm) cadets won first prize. Among school participants, Bharat Seva Dal (girls) took first place, with Police Public School (boys) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (girls) placing second and third, respectively. Special prizes were awarded to the parade commander, the police band, and visually challenged students who participated.

The cultural program included a dynamic group dance by 200 students from Baden Powel Public School showcasing “unity in diversity,” and patriotic song performances by students from Maharshi Public School (250 students) and Pramathi Public School (200 students). The event concluded with a resounding display of national pride and community spirit.
