**Ahmedabad, India** – Gujarat Police is implementing a massive security operation for Coldplay’s highly anticipated concerts at the Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25th and 26th. With hundreds of thousands of fans expected, authorities are deploying an unprecedented security force to ensure a safe and secure event.
Over 3,800 police personnel, including a specialized contingent from the National Security Guard (NSG), will be on duty. More than 400 CCTV cameras will provide round-the-clock surveillance of the stadium and surrounding areas. Metal detectors will be in place at all entry points, supplemented by plainclothes officers for discreet monitoring. A significant number of women police officers will also be deployed at checkpoints and entry gates.
Ahmedabad Police Commissioner G.S. Malik personally oversaw a security rehearsal, confirming the deployment of specialized teams including the Crime Branch, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and 10 bomb detection squads. Quick response teams are also on standby to handle any emergencies. Medical and paramedical teams will be strategically positioned throughout the venue to address any health concerns. Security measures extend to nearby metro stations and public areas.
The concerts are scheduled for 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM each day. The substantial security presence underscores the scale of the event and the commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all attendees.
