Sat Jan 25 17:20:00 UTC 2025: **Illegal Structures Demolished in Hanumakonda**
HANUMAKONDA, January 25 – Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) officials on Saturday demolished illegal structures belonging to Mand Krishna Madiga, founder president of the Manda Krishna Madiga (MKP) organization, located on Survey Number 125K in Hunter Road, Hanumakonda district.
The demolition followed a two-and-a-half-year-old complaint filed by Namburu Charumathi, alleging encroachment on her 400-square-yard plot by Madiga and his family members. After an investigation confirmed the encroachment, municipal officials were ordered to demolish the structures in 2022. However, due to inaction, Charumathi approached the Telangana Human Rights Commission (HRC). The HRC then issued notices to the Commissioner, Aswini Tanaji Wakade, directing immediate action. Madiga’s subsequent appeal to the High Court failed, leading to Saturday’s demolition.
