**Bengaluru, India (January 25, 2025)** – A unique board game designed to raise awareness about amphibian conservation is gaining popularity across India. Developed by the Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) in Bengaluru and supported by the IndiaBioscience Outreach Grant, “The Hoppy Frog” simulates a frog’s challenges navigating a human-dominated world.
Since its launch in 2024, the game has engaged over 800 participants through workshops at various locations, including the Science Gallery Bengaluru, the Indian Institute of Science’s annual Open Day, and the Bisle Frog Walk. An online version is also available on ATREE’s website, making the game accessible to a wider audience. The game aims to foster greater understanding and appreciation for amphibians, ultimately promoting their conservation.
