Sat Jan 25 16:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Southampton’s Injury Concerns Mount as Grønbæk Arrives

**Southampton, England –** Southampton manager Ivan Jurić provided a mixed injury update ahead of Saturday’s clash with Newcastle United, tempering positive news on some players with concerns over others, and offering a cautious welcome to new signing Albert Grønbæk.

Young midfielder Tyler Dibling, who was substituted in the recent match against Manchester United with an injury initially feared to sideline him for four to six weeks, appears to be recovering faster than expected. Jurić stated, “In this moment we are a little bit more optimistic, we will see next week. Next week we can say something more.”

However, the positive news is offset by concerns over Kamaldeen Sulemana, who scored his first goal of the season against Swansea. Despite impressive performances against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest, Sulemana will miss the Newcastle game due to a hamstring injury. Jurić expressed some worry, stating, “He has a little problem with his hamstring and our medical staff are worried about that because he had problems in the past.” He hopes Sulemana will resume training on Monday.

Newly-signed Albert Grønbæk, who arrived on loan Tuesday, is unlikely to feature against Newcastle. Jurić described him as a good option to assess over the next six months, but added, “He has only trained once with us today, I think it will be more likely for the next game.”

Adding to the injury worries, goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale picked up a knock in training. Jurić stated, “We had a problem with Rambo…He did something yesterday on the training pitch, we will see tomorrow. I hope he will be fine.” The extent of Ramsdale’s injury remains unclear.
