**Hyderabad, India –** Acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli has officially announced his next project, tentatively titled SSMB29, starring Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and Bollywood icon Priyanka Chopra. The announcement, made with Rajamouli’s characteristic humor, revealed that he has “caged the lion” (referencing Mahesh Babu’s Mufasa voiceover in the Telugu dub of *The Lion King*) and even confiscated the actor’s passport to ensure his commitment to the film. Mahesh Babu confirmed his involvement with a quote from his hit film *Pokiri*, emphasizing his dedication. Chopra also confirmed her participation via social media.
The film, an epic adventure written by Vijayendra Prasad, commenced shooting in January 2025.
