**Hubli, Karnataka –** Karnataka Labour Minister Santosh Lad has pledged to secure funding for a large-scale exhibition center in Hubli-Dharwad. Lad made the announcement Saturday during the inauguration of the “DG Photo Exposition,” organized by the Hubballi Photographers and Videographers’ Association. The event, showcasing advancements in photography and videography, featured the awarding of several senior photographers with the “Uttara Karnataka Chaya Ratna” award.
The Minister highlighted the need for a modern exhibition facility in the twin cities and stated he would advocate for its approval with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He also emphasized the importance of adopting new technologies to enhance professional capabilities.
Deputy Leader of the Opposition Arvind Bellad attended the exposition, praising the photographers’ role in preserving memories and commending the association’s recognition of veteran professionals. Association president Kiran Bakale noted this was their seventh exposition and thanked the Minister for his promise to provide office space for the organization. A memorandum outlining the association’s needs was also submitted to the Minister. The two-day exposition features photographers from across North Karnataka.
