**Washington D.C.** – Former President Donald Trump has announced three prominent Indian-American appointments to key positions within his administration. These appointments signal a continued focus on strengthening ties with the Indian-American community.
Ricky Gill, a veteran of the Trump administration, returns to the National Security Council (NSC) as Senior Director for South and Central Asia. Gill previously served as Director for Russia and European Energy Security under Trump. His experience also includes roles at the State Department and in the private sector, advising on energy policy.
Saurabh Sharma joins the Presidential Personnel Office, responsible for staffing and appointments. Sharma, a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, previously served as President of the conservative organization American Moment.
Rounding out the appointments is Kush Desai, named Deputy Press Secretary. Desai brings extensive experience in Republican campaign communications, most recently serving as Deputy Communications Director for the 2024 Republican National Convention.
