**New Delhi, India** – India will celebrate its 76th Republic Day on January 26th, 2025, with a spectacular parade and festivities across the nation. The main event, held in New Delhi, will feature a vibrant display of India’s military might and cultural diversity, under the theme “Golden India: Heritage and Progress.”
This year’s Republic Day parade, starting at 10:30 AM from Vijay Chowk and culminating at Red Fort, will be 90 minutes long and will include:

* **15 bands**.
* **5,000 artists** showcasing their talents.

Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will be the chief guest this year, marking a historic moment as the first Indonesian president to attend the Republic Day parade since Sukarno’s visit in 1950. A 352-member contingent from Indonesia’s armed forces will also participate in the parade.
The parade will also feature tableaux showcasing various aspects of Indian culture and heritage, including a special tableau dedicated to the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
Rigorous security measures are in place, including an anti-drone system, QR code-based entry for guests, and patrols by army helicopters and specialized forces. The Delhi Police, paramilitary forces, and DRDO scientists will also be involved in maintaining security.
