HARTFORD, CT – The New York Rangers have acquired forward Lucas Edmonds from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for forward Ryder Korczak, the team announced today. Edmonds, 23, will join the Rangers’ AHL affiliate, the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Edmonds, a third-round pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, has recorded five points (one goal, four assists) in 26 games with the Syracuse Crunch this season. He set career highs with 27 points (15 goals, 12 assists) last season.

In return, the Lightning received Korczak, 23, who has tallied 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 35 games with the Wolf Pack this season. A third-round pick of the Rangers in 2021, Korczak has played 107 games for Hartford over three seasons. The trade marks a swap of promising young forwards between the two organizations. The Hartford Wolf Pack’s 2024-25 season tickets are currently on sale.
