**Guntur, January 25, 2025** – Hundreds of students from Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) in Guntur participated in a rally on Saturday to promote voter registration and participation in the upcoming elections. The demonstration, held in observance of National Voters’ Day, saw students from engineering and pharmacy colleges marching through the campus, chanting slogans emphasizing the importance of voting in a democratic society.
The rally, organized by ANU faculty and coordinated by P. Siddayya and A. Prameela Rani, underscored the students’ belief that exercising the right to vote is crucial for strengthening democracy. ANU’s interim Vice-Chancellor, Kancherla Gangadhara Rao, praised the students’ initiative, commending their commitment to civic responsibility and nation-building. Registrar G. Simhachalam also addressed the gathering.
The event highlighted the university’s dedication to fostering both academic excellence and active citizenship amongst its student body.
