**Chennai, India** – India defeated England by 9 wickets in the second T20I of their five-match series at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Winning the toss, India captain Suryakumar Yadav elected to bowl first. England’s batting struggled against India’s spin attack, posting a total of 157/9 in their 20 overs.
India’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Varun Chakravarthy and Axar Patel, who each claimed two wickets. Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, and Abhishek Sharma also chipped in with a wicket each. England’s innings was marked by several collapses of partnerships, with the highlight being the run out of Brandon Carlos, whose misunderstanding with Jofra Archer cost them valuable runs.

Despite a slightly improved batting performance from England compared to the first match, the 166-run target is deemed manageable for India, setting the stage for a possible series clinching win for the home team. The series now moves to the third match, with India holding a comfortable 2-0 lead.
