Sat Jan 25 15:30:00 UTC 2025: ## India Suffers Double Blow Ahead of 2nd T20 Against England

**Chennai, India:** Team India has received a significant setback ahead of the second T20I against England in Chennai. Star players Rinku Singh and Nitish Kumar Reddy have been ruled out of the series due to injuries.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Saturday that the duo have been replaced by Shivam Dube and Ramandeep Singh. Reddy sustained an injury during Friday’s practice session and will be sent to Bangalore for further medical assessment. His absence is for the entire five-match series.

Rinku, who experienced back pain during the first T20I, will miss at least the second and third matches. He is currently under the BCCI’s medical supervision and there’s a possibility of his return for the fourth T20I depending on his recovery.

Dube and Singh, both proven performers in domestic cricket and the IPL, will fill the void left by the injured players. The BCCI expressed confidence in their abilities to contribute effectively to the team.

The revised India squad for the T20I series against England is: Suryakumar Yadav (c), Axar Patel, Sanju Samson (wk), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Shami, Varun Chakravarthy, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Shivam Dube, Ramandeep Singh.
