**NANDYAL, January 25, 2025** – The Srisailam temple in Nandyal is implementing extensive crowd management measures ahead of the annual Mahasivaratri Brahmotsavams, scheduled for February 19th to March 1st. Temple Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao conducted an inspection of queue lines on Saturday, directing officials to implement several changes to prevent stampedes and ensure devotee comfort.

Key measures include the establishment of separate counters for Sheegra Darshan (₹200 tickets) and Atisheegra Darshan (₹500 tickets) to reduce congestion. Free darshan queues will begin at the Radha Shala, with additional counters and dedicated lines for senior citizens, the differently-abled, and mothers with infants. Ample wheelchairs will be provided, and security personnel and Siva Sevaks will be deployed throughout the queue lines. Emergency exits will be clearly marked and regularly checked.

The temple will also provide free snacks, breakfast, water, and biscuits to devotees waiting in line, ensuring clean and well-maintained toilets with running water. Sixteen compartments will be dedicated to free darshan, with five additional compartments reserved for those with Sheegra Darshan tickets. These comprehensive preparations aim to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage experience for all devotees during the Mahasivaratri festival.
