**New Delhi, January 25, 2025** – Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) during three rallies in Delhi on Saturday, accusing the party of widespread corruption and broken promises ahead of the February 5th Assembly elections.
Shah targeted AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal’s official residence, calling it a “sheesh mahal” (palace) built with lavish amenities funded by questionable means. He cited alleged scams involving taxi panic buttons, Mohalla clinics, and a major liquor scandal. He challenged the AAP to show how they fulfilled their promises of a pollution-free, corruption-free Delhi.
The Home Minister also addressed concerns raised by BJP supporters regarding the continuation of welfare schemes under a BJP government. He assured voters that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had pledged to maintain, and even improve, existing social programs, dismissing AAP claims to the contrary as “lies.” He further highlighted the BJP’s track record, citing the completion of projects promised in their manifesto, including the Ram Mandir and the revocation of Article 370.
Shah accused the AAP of allowing Rohingya and Bangladeshi immigrants to settle in Delhi, promising their removal under a BJP government. He painted a bleak picture of Delhi under AAP rule, criticizing the city’s infrastructure, and particularly the handling of the Yamuna River cleaning project.
The BJP leader urged voters to install a “double-engine” government—BJP at the state and national levels—to replace the AAP, calling their governance “tyrannical.” Other senior BJP leaders also held rallies across the capital as campaigning intensifies before the upcoming elections.
