**Karaikudi, January 25, 2025** – BJP leader H Raja on Saturday criticized the Tamil Nadu government for its handling of the Vengavayal incident, the Anna University sex scandal, and the death of a ninth-standard student in Sivaganga district. He questioned why Viduthalai Chiruthai Katchi leader Thol Thirumavalavan hadn’t earlier called for a CBI investigation into Vengavayal, claiming he himself had initiated the demand. Raja accused the state government of inefficiency, highlighting the police’s actions in booking Scheduled Castes as accused in the Vengavayal case.

Raja further alleged that the DMK government was using the Periyar issue to deflect attention from the Anna University scandal, claiming the BJP had already exposed Periyar’s controversial remarks. He also praised the BJP and central government for withdrawing the Tungsten auction in Aritapatti, questioning the Tamil Nadu government’s actions on the matter.

Finally, Raja demanded the resignation of School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, calling the suspension of a headmaster following the student’s death a mere “eyewash” and an example of ministerial arrogance and irresponsibility.
