**ALAPPUZHA, January 25, 2025** – Agriculture Minister P. Prasad will be the chief guest at Alappuzha’s Republic Day celebrations this Sunday, January 26th. The event, scheduled to begin at 8:40 a.m. at the Alappuzha Recreation Ground, will feature a flag hoisting ceremony at 9:00 a.m. by the Minister, followed by a Republic Day parade and address to the public.

The parade will include eighteen platoons and four band troupes from the police, excise, and other departments. District Collector Alex Varghese and District Police Chief M.P. Mohana Chandran will welcome Minister Prasad. Officials have confirmed that the celebrations will adhere to environmentally friendly “green protocol.”
