**Washington, D.C.** – C-SPAN announced today a new initiative to help fund its operations. The public affairs network will now earn revenue through affiliate partnerships with online book retailers. Viewers can purchase books featured on C-SPAN programs through links provided on C-SPAN.org. These links direct users to retailer sites, such as Amazon, and C-SPAN receives a small percentage of each qualifying purchase. All revenue generated is used to support C-SPAN’s ongoing operations.

The network emphasizes that customer service inquiries, fulfillment issues, and privacy concerns related to book purchases should be directed to the respective online retailer. C-SPAN is not responsible for these aspects of the transaction. Additionally, C-SPAN offers free downloads of Congressional hearings and proceedings to MyC-SPAN account holders.
