Fri Jan 24 12:45:50 UTC 2025: ## Telangana BJP Defends Modi, Questions Investment Claims

**Hyderabad, January 24, 2025** – Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy asserted today that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s re-election constitutes a national mandate, rendering criticism from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi unnecessary. Reddy accused the Congress of hypocrisy regarding the Constitution, citing past actions. He lauded the Modi government’s bestowal of the Bharat Ratna on former Bihar Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur, contrasting it with what he described as the Congress’s politicization of such awards.

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson N.V. Subash raised concerns about the Telangana government’s transparency regarding investments, questioning the status of ₹48,000 crore claimed last year from the World Economic Forum (WEF). Subash demanded clarification on how many MoUs have translated into operational businesses, citing a lack of accountability and calling for a transparent report to build public trust.

Subash further highlighted several incidents illustrating alleged government negligence, including farmer and auto-driver suicides attributed to financial distress, farmer protests over water access, and a death caused by a dog attack. These incidents underscore the BJP’s criticism of the state government’s performance.
