Thu Jan 23 16:42:01 UTC 2025: ## BJP Calls Kejriwal “Biggest Liar,” Alleges Widespread Corruption in Delhi Ahead of Assembly Polls

**New Delhi** – BJP president JP Nadda launched a scathing attack on Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, labeling him the “biggest liar” and accusing the AAP government of widespread corruption during its 10-year tenure. Addressing a public meeting in Uttam Nagar as part of the BJP’s campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections (February 5th), Nadda cited several alleged scams, including the excise policy case, a purported Rs 100 crore Waqf Board scam, and alleged corruption within the Delhi Jal Board (estimated at Rs 28,000 crore).

Nadda claimed the AAP government failed to deliver on promises such as clean water and improvements to the Yamuna river, alleging further scams related to school construction (Rs 1,300 crore) and sanitation. He accused the AAP of prioritizing self-enrichment over public service, stating that any progress Delhi has seen in the last decade is due to the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The BJP leader highlighted the AAP’s alleged involvement in a massive liquor scam (Rs 2,800 crore), asserting that the party’s actions constitute a “disaster” (“aapda”) for Delhi. He contrasted this with the BJP’s vision for the city’s future, urging voters to consider the party’s record when casting their ballots. The upcoming elections will see the AAP vying for a third consecutive term, while the BJP aims to significantly increase its representation in the 70-member Delhi Assembly. Vote counting is scheduled for February 8th.
