“My first thought was that I am a big fan of Rohit,” Mir explained. “That’s why I didn’t celebrate his wicket. Winning this match would be a matter of great pride. The fact that the Indian captain was playing against us didn’t change my approach. I was relaxed before the match; a good ball will trouble any batter, regardless of their stature. But getting Rohit Sharma’s wicket was crucial for us, and I am happy to have achieved that.”
Sharma’s low score adds to his recent string of poor performances, fueling concerns about his form ahead of upcoming international matches. The match also saw underwhelming performances from other star cricketers like Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal, all dismissed in single digits.
