Thu Jan 23 16:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Pushpa 2’s Box Office Run Slows After Record-Breaking Extended Cut Boost
**Mumbai, India** – The box office success of *Pushpa: The Rise – Part 2* is showing signs of slowing down after a significant surge following the release of its extended cut, “Pushpa 2 Reloaded,” on January 17th. While the added 20 minutes of footage initially propelled the film to new heights, daily collections have begun to decline.
The action thriller, starring Allu Arjun, has already amassed a considerable ₹1735.40 crore gross worldwide (as of Day 47, according to Sacnilk), with ₹270.50 crore from overseas markets and ₹1464.90 crore domestically. However, this figure differs from the production house Mythri Movie Makers’ earlier claim of ₹1831 crore within 32 days. No official update has been provided since.
Monday saw a significant 56.67% drop in domestic collections, netting just ₹65 lakh, the lowest point since the extended cut’s release. Tuesday’s early estimates show a slight uptick, but at ₹32 lakh net, the film’s momentum appears to be waning.
Despite the slowdown, *Pushpa 2* remains the second-highest-grossing Indian film and is aiming to surpass Aamir Khan’s *Dangal* (₹2,080 crore) as the all-time highest-grosser. However, with the current trajectory, achieving this milestone appears increasingly challenging. The film’s continued performance will be closely watched in the coming weeks.
