**KALLAKURICHI, January 23, 2025** – Kallakurichi Collector M.S. Prasanth has issued a strict warning regarding the transportation of cattle and operation of slaughterhouses, emphasizing the need for strict adherence to existing regulations. In a press release, the Collector stated that cattle transportation must only occur in vehicles specifically designed for this purpose, providing adequate space, food, and water for the animals. Furthermore, a physical fitness certificate from a local veterinarian is mandatory before transport. Any vehicle found violating the Tamil Nadu Animal Preservation Act, 1958, will be impounded.
