NEW DELHI, January 22, 2025 – The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the official notification for its Group D recruitment drive, offering a total of 32,438 vacancies. Applications will be accepted online from January 23rd to February 22nd, 2025. The application fee is INR 500, with exemptions for reserved categories.
The RRB has announced revised age limits and educational qualifications for the Group D positions, which include Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helpers/Assistants in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical, and S&T), Assistant Pointsmen, and other Level-1 roles. Applicants must possess the required educational/technical qualifications as specified in the CEN by the closing date for online application submission (February 22nd, 2025). Those awaiting results of their final exams are ineligible to apply. A diploma/degree in engineering will not be accepted in lieu of completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI for Level-1 posts, unless otherwise specified.
Applications must be submitted online through the link provided on the RRB website. Candidates can only apply to one railway; multiple applications will result in disqualification. To avoid last-minute website congestion, applicants are advised to apply well before the deadline.
Selected candidates will receive a starting salary of INR 18,000, plus allowances including dearness allowance (DA), daily allowance, transport allowance, house rent allowance (HRA), night duty allowance, medical facilities, and overtime pay. The in-hand salary is estimated to range from INR 22,500 to INR 25,380 per month.
