**Hyderabad, Telangana, January 22, 2025** – Global technology giant HCLTech announced plans to significantly expand its presence in Hyderabad with a new 320,000 sq ft tech center, creating 5,000 new jobs. The announcement follows a meeting between Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu with HCLTech CEO & Managing Director C. Vijayakumar at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The new facility, located in Hi-Tech City and boasting Indian Green Building Council Gold Certification, will offer cutting-edge cloud, AI, and digital transformation solutions to global clients in sectors including hi-tech, life sciences, and finance.

Vijayakumar highlighted Hyderabad’s “world-class infrastructure and high-quality talent pool” as key factors in the expansion. He extended an invitation to the Chief Minister and IT Minister to officially inaugurate the center next month.

Chief Minister Reddy welcomed the investment, emphasizing that it reinforces Hyderabad’s position as a leading global IT hub. Minister Babu expressed the state government’s commitment to fostering technological growth, not only in Hyderabad but also in tier 2 and 3 cities to create more opportunities for local youth. He urged HCLTech to consider establishing a center in another Telangana city and pledged full support for the company’s expansion.

HCLTech, which has operated in Hyderabad since 2007, will now have five centers in the city.
