**Hyderabad, January 22, 2025** – Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders have sharply criticized the Congress government’s handling of Hyderabad, alleging a decline in the city’s infrastructure and public services since the party assumed power.
At a meeting chaired by BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, party MLAs and MLCs from Greater Hyderabad highlighted widespread issues including inadequate sanitation, water shortages, and a deteriorating law and order situation. They noted the appearance of water tankers across the city even before the summer season. The possibility of a no-confidence motion against the GHMC Mayor was also reportedly discussed.
Rama Rao contrasted the current state of Hyderabad with its period of development under BRS rule, citing advancements in IT, the Metro Rail, Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), and other infrastructure projects. He accused the Congress government of lacking the vision to maintain the city’s image.
The BRS legislators plan to demand the immediate fulfillment of Congress’s electoral promises, including the provision of ration cards, housing, and social security pensions for the poor. The meeting took place at the residence of Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav.
