Wed Jan 22 00:33:28 IST 2025: ## Chennai Police Bust Spurious Liquor Ring, Seize Hundreds of Liters of Fake Alcohol

**Chennai, January 22, 2025** – Chennai’s Enforcement Bureau cracked down on a large-scale operation producing and distributing counterfeit foreign liquor on Tuesday. Police arrested four men – Karthik, Mohammad Nazeem Deen, Syed Abdul Kadhar, and Raavuther Nainar Mohammad – after intercepting their auto carrying 50 bottles of fake alcohol.

Following their arrest, the men revealed their supplier, Gopi, leading police to a manufacturing operation at his residence. Authorities seized over 400 liters of spurious liquor, 5,000 empty bottles, and other manufacturing materials. Gopi was arrested and all individuals involved have been remanded. A case has been registered. The bust highlights a significant operation supplying counterfeit alcohol to various parties and events across Chennai.
