**Hyderabad, January 21, 2025** – The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) has launched a comprehensive anti-drug awareness campaign targeting school children across the state. Partnering with the Education Department and local police, the initiative utilizes four specialized teams to reach students directly.
Each team comprises two Deputy Superintendents of Police, two Inspectors, a psychologist, and support staff, including a drug-sniffing dog. Equipped with mobile vans featuring LED screens, the teams present educational videos and motivational content to over 10,000 students in 20 schools across the twin cities. The program also distributes awareness books (in Telugu and English), sports materials, and posters.
The campaign emphasizes educating students on identifying and reporting drug-related issues, providing contact information for de-addiction centers. Live demonstrations with the tracker dogs aim to increase student vigilance.
