The Trump Vance Inaugural Committee announced the change of venue, stating they are “grateful and overwhelmed” by the participation. President-elect Trump himself confirmed the move on Truth Social, adding that he will join the crowd at the arena after his swearing-in ceremony. The arena previously hosted a Trump victory rally on Sunday.
The parade, featuring a lineup of performers (list to be provided separately by the Inaugural Committee), is set to begin at 3 p.m. ET on Monday, approximately three hours after the transfer of power. This marks a significant departure from tradition, as the parade typically proceeds down Pennsylvania Avenue from the Capitol to the White House.
