**NEW DELHI** – Olympic javelin gold medalist Neeraj Chopra has secretly married Himani Mor, a tennis player, in a private ceremony in Himachal Pradesh, the couple announced on social media Sunday. The intimate wedding was attended by only 40-50 close friends and family.

Chopra shared photos from the event on his social media accounts, expressing gratitude for their journey together and asking for blessings as they embark on their married life. Mor, 25, hails from Sonipat, Haryana. She is a former national-level tennis player with a career-best national ranking of 42 in singles and 27 in doubles, according to the All India Tennis Association (AITA). She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sports Management at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. Prior to this, she graduated from Miranda House, Delhi University, with a degree in Political Science and Physical Education. Her accomplishments also include a gold medal at the 2016 World Junior Tennis Championship in Malaysia.

Chopra’s paternal uncle confirmed the marriage, stating that the couple has left for their honeymoon and that the family chose to keep the wedding details private. The ceremony reportedly took place two days before the announcement.
