Tue Jan 21 04:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Tirumala Temple Adds Masala Vada to Annaprasadam Menu
**Tirupati:** The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has introduced Masala Vada to its Annaprasadam (sacred food offering) menu, as part of an ongoing trial run. On Monday, 5,000 Masala Vadas, prepared without onions and garlic, were served to devotees at the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Kendra. The decision was made following a November 18, 2024, TTD board meeting resolution to enhance the Annaprasadam menu.
The trial run will continue for another week before a final decision is made on full-scale implementation. Currently, the Annaprasadam includes rice, curry, sambar, rasam, buttermilk, coconut chutney, and sweet pongal. Initial feedback from devotees regarding the Masala Vada has been positive. The TTD chairman officially launched the addition of Masala Vada to the menu.
