**Dubai, UAE –** Star Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has admitted his disappointment at being omitted from the 15-player squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy. Speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of a T20I against England, Yadav acknowledged his recent poor form as the reason for his exclusion. “If I did well, I would have been in the Champions Trophy squad. I have not done well, so I need to accept it,” he stated.

Yadav’s underwhelming performance in List A cricket, particularly his meager 38 runs in his last five Vijay Hazare Trophy appearances, contributed to his omission. The tournament, a 50-over event co-hosted by Pakistan and the UAE, begins February 19th. India will play their matches in the UAE.

Rohit Sharma will captain the Indian side, with Shubman Gill serving as vice-captain.
