Tue Jan 21 08:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Hamilton Makes Dream Debut in Ferrari Red

**Maranello, Italy** – Lewis Hamilton has officially begun his Ferrari career, completing his first test drive in a 2022 Ferrari F1-75 car at the Fiorano circuit on January 22nd. The seven-time world champion, who recently signed with the Scuderia after a twelve-year stint with Mercedes, spent Monday morning familiarizing himself with the team and his new car.

Hamilton met with key figures including team principal Frederic Vasseur, Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna, and vice-chairman Piero Ferrari. He also connected with his new race engineer, Riccardo Adami. After ensuring his seat and steering wheel adjustments were to his liking, Hamilton conducted a simulator run before his track debut. Further meetings and briefings are planned to prepare him for future testing.

“There are some days that you know you’ll remember forever and today, my first as a Ferrari driver, is one of those days,” Hamilton posted on social media, expressing his excitement at fulfilling a lifelong dream.

The high-profile move has generated significant excitement among Ferrari fans (Tifosi). Hotels in the Sassuolo area are reportedly fully booked, and Maranello’s mayor has requested increased security measures in anticipation of large crowds.

Hamilton will share the track with teammate Charles Leclerc on Wednesday before further testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya later this month (pending confirmation). Ferrari plans to utilize this test to take advantage of the 1000km allowance for testing previous cars under the new F1 regulations.
